Bagged Yard Debris Collection Policy Reminder

The Village of Stillwater currently provides curbside pickup for bagged grass clippings and leaf debris as a convenience to residents. However, it has come to our attention that many of the bags placed out for collection also contain unauthorized materials such as bricks, wood, garbage, and even animal waste.

Please be advised

These materials are not allowed under our current disposal agreement. The permitted debris disposal site we use has informed us that continued contamination will result in the Village losing access to the site altogether.

Effective immediately

Only bags containing grass clippings or leaves will be collected. If a bag contains anything other than lawn debris, it will not be picked up, and the responsibility for disposal will fall on the resident.
