Residents Choose Revolution Park as Name For New Village Pocket Park

Revolution Park will be the name of the new village pocket park at the south side of the Blockhouse on Hudson Avenue. The Board of Trustees approved the name at its Nov. 19 meeting following an online survey asking residents to choose from three names. The other two names were Still Water Park and The Park in the Village.

Nearly 330 votes were cast in all this fall. The results of the survey ending on October 31 are as follows:

  • Revolution Park – 213 (65.1%)
  • Still Water Park – 86 (26.3%)
  • The Park in the Village – 28 (8.6%)

The village had received nearly 40 name suggestions for the new park from residents over the summer and narrowed it down to these three for the survey. Work on the park will continue in the spring.
