Please be aware that the Village of Stillwater has changed its website domain name from villageofstillwaterny.org to villageofstillwaterny.gov as required by New York State law.

In December of 2024 Governor Hochul signed a bill requiring all municipalities with a population greater than 1,500 residents to maintain an official website with a “.gov” domain name that is accessible to the public by the end of the 2025. That change has now been completed. The goal of this bill was to provide the public accessible to basic information, financial reports, meeting and election notices, meeting agendas and minutes, and up to date versions of local codes and laws. The Village of Stillwater has been providing all of this information and more to the public for many years on its previous website that ended in .org.

This change to .gov only affects the domain name for the village’s website. The website will still look the same and will continue to provide residents with up-to-date information about what is happening in town. Please update your computer bookmarks to reflect the .gov change.
