The Stillwater Board of Trustees has approved a $1.81 million village budget for the 2026-27, which carries no property tax increase for the new fiscal year.

The village property tax rate will remain at $4.15 per $1,000 of assessed value in 2026-27.

Trustees held a public hearing on the proposed budget and approved the document at a meeting on March 17, 2026. The new budget will go into effect on June 1, 2026 and runs through May 31, 2027.

The newly approved budget for 2026-27 totals $1,817,635 and breaks down as follows:

• General Fund: $1,064,335
• Water Fund: $340,550
• Sewer Fund: $412,750
• Total 2026-27 Budget: $1,817,635 – up $60,735 from 2025-26
